Excellent movie about typesetting by hand vs. typesetting on a computer.

For a little visual and verbal feedback on your internet searches, visist Ms. Dewey.

Oh I do hope Google picks this up.

IE7

Dirk Sabbe | , | Thursday, October 19th, 2006

It seems IE7 has been released.

As a hardcore FireFox - Safari user (on Mac of course) I can’t say I’m really excited about this news.

In my role of webdesigner I have only one thing to say: “I hope we don’t have to hack our own designs anymore”.

If you’re looking for that perfect doll (to keep all for yourself or to give away as a present) look no further: KidRobot has it all.

Fantastic dolls & stuff - with a twist.

Lens reviews

Dirk Sabbe | | Tuesday, October 17th, 2006

If you’re interested in pure technical reviews of all kinds of objectives (mostly Canon lenses, but there’s a few Nikkors in there as well) head on over to PhotoZone.de.

Mind you, this is quite geeky stuff, so don’t say I didn’t warn ya.

In the mean time my Nikkor AF 50mm f/1.4 D gets a nice review, the problems with the Nikkor AF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 G IF-ED VR II DX are laid bare and my personal opinion is that there is no such thing as a perfect lens.

At least for my kind of budget, that is.

That Nikkor AF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 G IF-ED DX is looking better every time I look at it.

Color Now

Dirk Sabbe | | Friday, October 6th, 2006

I grabbed this off the Apple Pro website:

In this millennium it’s Mid-Century Modern expressing industrial simple lifestyles; it’s cravings for curvilinear craft, warmth and richness of Baroque and Victorian, and it includes the deeper, crafted colors of nature and mother earth. It is paradoxical in embracing opposites and juxtaposing styles yet all express a resonance with authenticity and a desire to mix the tactile and the real in a familiar yet surprising new way. All express the experiences and concerns of the last fifty years leading us to this moment in time.

Long for: “Anything goes”.
