As you probably do not know: I’m taking up Photography in evening classes as of next september. I always wanted to do learn the trade officially. I’m extremely curious what I’m going to learn here. I’ve enrolled in the Academie voor Beeldende Kunst in Gent.

The past few weeks I’ve been experimenting with different methods & applications for managing my photo’s. I’ve tried & tested the following applications and/or methods:

• Apple iPhoto
• Adobe Lightroom
• Adobe Bridge & Camera RAW
• Apple Aperture
• Manual management

I’ll be posting my findings the following few weeks, but one conclusion I’ll give you right now: I have my reservations & doubts about all of them. I’ve decided to work with Aperture. Over the coming weeks I’ll try to explain why I chose Aperture over the others.
